Our Vision

OUR VISION

Reimagining capitalism for a more sustainable & equitable world.

We picture a world where natural capital has value, investments are transparent, countries can create new renewable industries, local communities are thriving and landholders can feed their families.
OUR MISSION

Creating a world where trees & natural capital are more valuable alive than dead.

Status Quo = Trees don’t have value when alive, only when they are cut-down for timber. Landholders with trees can only make money when they cut the tree down and sell the timber or convert the land to another use.
Better Model = Living trees have value and landholders can make money from healthy trees.

Our Approach

A solutions focus and sustainability first approach...
Carbon Planet is the vision of our Founder, Cath Thrupp.
Cath saw the need for solutions that address the core issues standing in the way of true sustainability. The core issues that she set out to solve were: scalability of solutions, direct connections from investment to outcome, realization of benefits for landholders and improved measurement of outcomes. Cath envisaged a way for countries, communities and landholders to benefit, at scale, from the success of all projects. Every project is designed so that success equals increased community ownership of outcomes across the project life cycle, provides greater learning opportunities for communities and investors alike, and creates wider benefits for local communities.

Complex problems can be addressed with a combination of new thinking and technology. Old linear models can be replaced with systems solutions and advanced ecosystems of collaborative partnerships that support landholders and traditional owners with sustainability and market access. Simply put, we are all better off when our business models integrate people, place and sustainability from Day 1″.

Carbon Planet is on a mission to build a more sustainable, regenerative & equitable world.
